Medicine and the Movement: The Story of Dr. Escous B. Goode of AlabamaJoin us at Fairhope Public Library for a free screening of “Medicine and the Movement,” a documentary about Dr. Escous B. Goode, one of Alabama’s earliest and most successful African-American physicians who fought to desegregate hospitals, schools, and buses during the Civil Rights Movement. His 56-year career in Mobile included delivering 5,000+ babies at Blessed Martin de Porres Hospital. The documentary will be presented by the executive director of the Mobile Medical Museum, Dr. Daryn Glassbrook.
