The Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center, the SBA, & The Etowah Chamber, will offer one-on-one counseling for prospective and existing small business owners at NO CHARGE on 4th Thursdays at The Chamber office. Note: This is not a seminar. About the SBDC The Small Business Development Center is a program of Jacksonville State University. Their primary mission is to assist current & prospective small business owners in the area. The SBDC accomplishes its mission through the use of professional staff members & through support by many partners throughout the coverage region. The SBDC is available to assist aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas in businesses, help small firms with expansion, and can provide information that a business needs to make critical decisions.

Join us in celebrating nominees and award recipients in the field of education at the annual Excellence in Education & Teachers of the Year Awards Ceremony Presented by Gadsden State Community College! There are good things happening in education in our community. From pre-kindergarten to post-graduate institutions, innovation and creativity are alive in our classrooms. The Etowah Chamber wants to recognize educators of all kinds, administrators, support staff, students, and community members for their contributions to quality education in Northeast Alabama.  Proceeds from this event will support the Etowah Chambers continued efforts to partner with public education through various programs such as the Etowah Qualified Workforce Immersion Program. A professional development day for area educators. The program helps educators tailor their curriculum to include information about career options and answer questions or provide guidance for students.
