Join Mayor Tommy Battle at his annual tree planting event on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at Brahan Spring Park, 2800 Drake Avenue SW and follow signs for parking instructions. We need your help planting hundreds of trees to expand the tree canopy! Green Team will be on site to help volunteers of all ages plant trees and we will have free tree giveaways.

Join the Green Team at Cavalry Hill Community Center on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon for a tree planting day. Come help shape the city’s tree canopy! We dig all the holes but we need extra hands to help plant hundreds of trees. We also will have a tree giveaway while supplies last. The grant for trees awarded by the Inflation Reduction Act and the USDA Forest Service. USDA and Green Team are equal opportunity providers and employers.

Residential curbside collection will be delayed by one day the week of Nov. 10-14. Residents should leave carts at the curb until they are collected. Essential police and fire personnel will remain on duty throughout the holiday.
