This family-friendly tea invites guests of all ages to enjoy fresh florals, seasonal treats, and time together at the Garden.  Enjoy a curated selection of Piper & Leaf local artisan teas, thoughtfully paired with classic finger sandwiches from Fern & Feast Bistro, delicate petit fours from Peggy Ann Bakery, and colorful macarons from Little Macs. A floral photo vignette encourages memory-making, as you don your favorite garden party attire—shades of purple and green encouraged!  Along with tea, guests 21+ are invited to enjoy a bar offering both spirited and non-alcoholic selections available for purchase, adding an extra note of celebration.  In true Bunny Hops fashion, guests are invited to take a break from tea to interact with adorable, adoptable bunnies from Huntsville House Rabbits in the Guest Center Atrium, adjacent to the Carriage House.  Each ticket includes Garden admission for the day. This series will include both lecture and hands-on demonstrations, so all attendees should come dressed for the outdoors. At the end of the class, attendees will take home seeds to kick-start a home garden! This three-part series is designed for beginners looking to build a strong gardening foundation. At the Huntsville Botanical Garden, she serves as the Director of Learning and Public Engagement. She has a strong passion for educating the community, leadership, public horticulture, and sharing her love for the outdoors while teaching. She and her husband Christopher love their shared interest of horticulture and enjoy every moment outside with their sweet daughters Emilia and Ila.

About Your InstructorsKarolina Sawicka is a dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience in teaching people of all ages. She began her career in New York City, where she developed creative solutions for gardening in small spaces. Currently, she serves as the Horticulture Educator at Huntsville Botanical Garden, where she shares her knowledge and love of plants with the community. Karolina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability from Kean University. Now living in Decatur, she enjoys exploring the numerous outdoor recreational activities that Alabama has to offer in her free time. Katrina Mitchell is Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Conservation Horticulturist. She has a Master’s of Science Degree in Biology where her studies and research focused on conservation and ecology. She specializes in propagating and growing native plants, especially those of conservation concern (rare, threatened, and endangered species) in the southeast. This is a scientific-based activity that anyone can participate in to help reduce stress and improve the immune system, along with other benefits.
