The CMMC in Practice Forum is a one-day, boutique event focused on helping organizations make sense of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)—and more importantly, take action. We’ve designed this experience to move beyond theory and into real-world application. Through a combination of practitioner-led sessions and interactive discussions, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, explore challenges, and gain practical insight from those actively working in the CMMC ecosystem. This is a curated, community-focused environment with meaningful conversations and guidance you can actually use. If your organization supports government contracts and is trying to understand what CMMC actually means for your business—this forum is for you. We welcome: Companies new to CMMC and trying to understand where to star Organizations in early stages of readiness or gap analysis Teams actively working toward implementation or assessment Professionals responsible for compliance, IT, contracts, or program execution You do not need to be a cybersecurity expert. The Rocket City Microthon is the most (the only?) prestigious event for the least elite non-athletes. A family-friendly fundraising event spoofing a traditional road race. The “race” is across the 383 feet (0.12K) of the Butler Green at Campus 805 in downtown Huntsville. Put on your numbered bib (just like the real racers) and race from Straight to Ale to Yellowhammer Brewery. Or vice-versa... we’re not all that organized. The 2026 race is targeting 600 registered racers, but don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to train!
