BECOMING A FOSTER PARENT: DID YOU KNOW? Baldwin County only has 52 homes/families that are certified to care for foster children and there are typically over 150 children in and out of the foster system. Because of the lack of foster homes siblings are often split apart &ndash one child may stay in Baldwin County while the other is taken to another part of the State sometimes as far as Montgomery or Birmingham and some children are being farther away from their home in Baldwin County. ABOUT: Leadership Baldwin County's goal for this project is to increase awareness in our community about the need of foster homes and show that people just like me and you can and do support these children. At our event we'll have all the experts Department of Human Resources non-profit groups that directly support these children and us at EAPLM to provide mental and emotional health support &ndash all there to answer questions and talk about the feasibility of fostering as well as sharing the good that it does! We would love for you to consider coming to be a part of a fun day!
