For additional volunteer opportunities, visit anchoragechamber.org/volunteer-opportunities.   Join the Young Professionals Group for a fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity as we come together to facilitate a festive craft event for AWAIC featuring multiple hands-on craft booths where kids of the AWAIC community can create their own holiday keepsakes.   As a volunteer, you’ll help guide children through a variety of creative activities including:     •    ✨ Snowglobe making     •    🍪 Cookie decorating     •    🖼 Picture frame crafting     •    🎁 And more fun, festive projects!   No prior crafting experience is required, just bring your enthusiasm, patience, and willingness to help create a joyful experience for local families. This is a wonderful way to give back to the community, connect with fellow YPG members, and be part of something truly special for local kids.   What Volunteers Will Do:     •    Help set up and manage craft booths     •    Assist children with their crafts     •    Keep stations organized and running smoothly     •    Spread holiday cheer and encouragement   This is a rewarding, hands-on volunteer opportunity that directly impacts families in the AWAIC community. We’d love to have you be part of it!   👉 Please RSVP to volunteer so we can plan supplies and booth coverage accordingly. A background check is required. RSVP deadline is December 11. Dear community, We are excited to share the return of the Mountain View Winter Festival this year on Saturday, December 20th from 2-4 PM at Clark Middle School! The Mountain View Winter Festival provides a meaningful and important opportunity for community connection and spending time outside during the dark winter months. This kind of event is especially important in Mountain View, one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country, where we have also recently experienced challenges with the highest density of unhoused neighbors and shelters in Anchorage, and likely statewide.  Opportunity for event sponsors to help us cover the following costs:  ● Photos with Reindeer - $1,000 ● Food truck - $2,500 ● Hay rides - $1,600 Sponsors will be recognized at the following levels:  ● Gold - $1,000 | Recognized on all promotional materials, with a dedicated table at the event and an opportunity to speak ● Silver - $500 | Recognized on all promotional materials, with a dedicated table at the event ● Bronze - $250 | Recognized on all promotional materials We also welcome volunteers to help with event planning, promotion, and day-of needs.  We look forward to coming together to celebrate the season, community resilience, and joy. Panelists: Kathleen McArdle, President/CEO, Anchorage Chamber of Commerce David Kasser, Sr. Vice President – Sales, Visit Anchorage TBA, Anchorage Economic Development Corp. and Radhika Krishna, Executive Director, Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd.   What is the Alliance to Activate Anchorage The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, Visit Anchorage, the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, and the Anchorage Downtown Partnership have come together to form the Alliance to Activate Anchorage (AAA), a non-binding, consensus-driven coalition on economic and workforce goals to improve stability and activate growth in the community. The AAA is comprised of two board representatives from each organization who further strengthen the connections that already exist at the executive and staff level. The respective organizations have many shared goals that are vital to the stability and future of Anchorage, and their combined memberships represent a significant portion of Anchorage businesses, workforce, and economic activities across all sectors.
