Mission Statement: To promote membership with and within the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, while developing and expanding personal business networks. This energetic group of people work together to maintain contact with other Anchorage Chamber members while helping to promote the Anchorage Chamber as a whole. Ambassadors are present at Anchorage Chamber functions and are the major coordinators for Business After Hours, Membership Orientation, and ribbon-cutting events. Meetings are held from 4 to 5 pm on the second Wednesday of the month. Goals for the Year: Increase membership retention by mentoring new members through their first three months Increase awareness of Anchorage Chamber benefits and efforts Strengthen awareness and integrity of the Ambassador Council

At the YPG's CEO Luncheons, you'll have the unique opportunity to personally network with successful, local leaders with years of experience from various industries across Alaska. Hear about their journey to becoming an executive and take the opportunity to ask questions or for advice.   Jon Bittner currently serves as the President and CEO of the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation where he focuses on bringing innovation and new growth opportunities to Alaska’s largest city. Jon is a fifth generation Alaskan with over a decade of experience in the business and economic development sector in Alaska.  Over the course of his career, he has served as an exploration geologist for Millrock Resources, Vice President of AEDC, Deputy Commissioner of the Dept of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, State Director of the Alaska Small Business Development Center, and External Affairs Manager for MDF Alaska.  Through those roles he was able to drive new programs, new funding, and new innovation in industries across the state.  He currently serves on the Boards of the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Anchorage Community Land Trust, Anchorage Chamber, Commonwealth North, United Way, UAA College of Business & Public Policy, Anchorage Community Development Authority, and the State Committee on Research. He has been recognized for his efforts by the Alaska Journal of Commerce, the Alaska Society of Leadership and Success, Development Counselors International, and the International Economic Development Council.  He has created a variety of nationally recognized programs over the years including Alaska's first hackathon, Alaska Entrepreneurship Week, Anchorage Maker Faire, the $59 million Alaska Small Business Credit Initiative and the $83 million Alaska Tribal Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) which are the top SSBCI programs in the nation.

Event Description: Please join Pacific Northern Academy students, staff and families as we celebrate the revitalized PNA Student Garden with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the last day of school! This Gold Star Project Based Learning (PBL) initiative is growing its roots deeper into the Anchorage community and we want you to be part of it. PNA students have been cultivating more than just produce. Through hands-on learning in the garden, they are developing real-world skills in sustainability, nutrition, and community partnership. This season, the garden’s impact will extend beyond campus through three exciting local collaborations: • Beans Café – Fresh produce from the PNA garden will be donated to support the Children’s Lunchbox program, helping feed Anchorage’s most vulnerable youth. • Blue Market AK – Select PNA-grown produce will be available for purchase through this beloved local market. • Market Juice – Scraps from Market Juice will be incorporated into the garden’s composting program, closing the loop on local food waste. Following the ribbon cutting, guests are invited to stay and celebrate the end of the school year at PNA’s Last Day of School Cookout, joining students, families, and community guests. Doors open at 3:00 PM, ribbon cutting at 3:15. This event is free and open to the public.

(W.A.K.E., Inc.) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing mentoring and outdoor experience programs for youth in grades K-12 from low-income and marginalized communities, particularly youth in grades 5 - 8.
