The first 20 men to complete an annual exam in June will receive a FREE tool bag at checkoutâour way of saying thank you for making your health a priority. 𩺠What to Expect in a Menâs Health Annual ExamYour check-up is quick, simple, and focused on prevention. Rocco returns to Talkeetna to once again share his love of music and art with the Northern Susitna Valley. This is an opportunity for anyone who loves playing music. Whether you are paper trained or donât read music at all, you will learn to listen, respond, and gel with your fellow jazz orchestra players and the result will be a bigger and better musical toolbox for you to take into the future. A cyr wheel workshop teaches participants how to spin, roll, and manipulate a cyr wheel, a ring-shaped piece of equipment used in circus acrobatics. New to the Green Light Circus line-up in 2025, we are offering a Cyr Wheel class! Taught by Gabriel Alvarez, who you may recognize from his trip to Alaska with 360 AllStars, this evening class will be open to adults and youth (12 years and older) who are between 5â1âł and 6â1âł. The cyr wheel is a ring made of aluminum or steel thatâs specific to the performerâs size, which is why there are height requirements for the class. This class will be held Monday â Thursday evenings, from 6:00-7:30pm, June 23 â July 10. Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable, athletic clothing.

AlexAnna Salmon is President of the Igiugig Village Council. She is of Yupâik and Aleut descent and was raised in the village of Igiugig, Alaska. In 2008, AlexAnna graduated from Dartmouth College with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Native American Studies and Anthropology. After graduating, she returned to work for the Igiugig Tribal Village Council where she was elected President and, until 2016, also held the role of Administrator. AlexAnna serves as a member of the Igiugig Native Corporation board, which is responsible for the stewardship of 66,000 tribal acres. She also serves on the Nilavena Tribal Health Consortium and is a member of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural Historyâs Advisory Board. She received her Masterâs Degree in Rural Development from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2021. In her work as President of the Igiugig Village Council, AlexAnna has been a driving force behind the communityâs efforts to generate its own energy from renewable sources. In 2015, she was invited to President Obamaâs roundtable discussion with Alaska Native leaders and was praised by Sen. Dan Sullivan in 2017 on the Senate floor for helping strengthen her community and making it an incredible place to live. AlexAnna loves raising her kids in the subsistence way of life, revitalizing Indigenous languages, and traveling.

Sunshine Community Health Center invites you to join Dear Body, a supportive group therapy experience designed to help you rebuild a peaceful relationship with food and your body through the principles of Intuitive Eating.
