A little bit about My House: "We are a unique non-profit that operates several for-profit ventures that offer employment and training you youth age 16-24, with preference given to homeless youth, and the goal of offering financial support back to the organization to support operating costs and services. Our philosophy is to offer a hand up, not a hand out. Youth coming for services are expected to work toward goals and make progress, accept help to remove barriers, and identify challenges personally that keep them from being successful." A little bit about Gathering Grounds Cafe: "Gathering Grounds Cafe trains and employ homeless youth, offering job skills and experience at being barista’s, making proper tea, making soup and panini sandwiches, customer service and teamwork .  Profits from the Cafe support client services, and help provide sustainability to our organization."

Join us for luncheon on August 19th downstairs in the banquet room at Evangelo's Restaurant. Our August 19th luncheon will feature a keynote presentation by Mat-Su Regional Medical Center about Community Connections. We will also have a member spotlight presentation by OPA/Primary Care Associates. ***Advanced Registration is Requested*** This is only to allow us to give our hosts a rough estimate of attendees so they can prepare enough seats. If you are interested in speaking at one of our Chamber Luncheons, please email Jessica detailing who you are, your company, and what you would like to speak about. Our luncheons are hosted at Evangelo's Restaurant in Wasilla on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Check in begins at 11:30AM, program begins at 12PM and ends at 1PM. If you would like to donate anything to the door prizes, don't forget to bring them along!
