The ALA Saturday School is a FREE opportunity led by certified teachers from diverse content areas at every session, which are held in person in the ALA Library. Remote options are also available. Saturday School is a great opportunity for students to catch up and/or move ahead in their courses. Students are encouraged to attend every session that works for their schedule. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and Salt River Schools offices of School and Community Relations and Higher Education would like to recognize all SRPMIC high school and postsecondary graduates from the Class of 2025. This includes any graduation from high school, GED, trade school, or college/university occurring from July 2024 through June 2025. The graduation recognition event will be held at Talking Stick Resort on Thursday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. This is a free event for SRPMIC students and two guests - but you MUST register and fill out our application to be recognized by Monday, June 2. Participant Requirements: Completed recognition application Copy of SRPMIC tribal ID Copy of diploma or transcript shows their confirmed degree Proof that degree or certificate was earned between July 2024 through June 2025 Click here to download the application. Or, visit the Higher Education office and fill out a paper copy. We're located in the Salt River Schools Administration building, at 4836 N. Center Street. The Salt River Schools Education Board holds its meetings in person. The Ed Board room is the circular structure on the south side of the campus located at 4836 N. Center Street (this is the same campus/parking lot as the Early Childhood Education Center and the EDU Administration building - call 480-362-2500 before 5 p.m. with any questions). Click here to view a map. Informed and involved Community members who support education will help Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community Schools (Salt River Schools) in preparing young people for a positive future. Regular board meetings are generally on the first and third Mondays of the month at 5:15 p.m. in the Education Board Room building, 4815 North Center St, Scottsdale, AZ 85256 (Center St & Chaparral Rd). All regular, special, and emergency meetings of the Education Board are open to the public except during executive sessions. SCHOOL & COMMUNITY RELATIONS presents their annual BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH School Supply Giveaway! The event will be held in the Accelerated Learning Academy gymnasium (4827 N. Country Club Dr. - park in the lot along Highland Avenue south of the football field) on Thursday, July 24, from 5-7:30 p.m. Questions? Call SCR at 480-362-2500. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all SRPMIC students enrolled in grades K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year. This includes students at public, private, charter, parochial, and BIE schools. The event is also open to any Native American K-12 students with at least 1/4 blood quantum. Students must show their CIB or tribal ID. Priority will be given to SRPMIC-enrolled students; students enrolled with other tribes may receive supplies, depending on availability.
