Bring your child and enjoy stories, songs, and activities that promote early literacy and healthy development.  Geared towards children aged 2-5 years and their parents/caregivers. Each Storytime is 20-30 minutes long. Storytime is every Tuesday starting at 10:15 a.m. Park in the Main Library Parking Garage at 45 W. Alameda St. The first hour is free. We'll give you a second ticket at the end of Storytime for a total of two hours free, enough to enjoy the program and select books afterward. Space is limited. Please join us!

On the 2nd Thursday of every month, we're hosting a representative from Pima County's Community and Workforce Development office. He can help you with: acquiring a cell phone  food resources  pet supply resources  eviction prevention  utility assistance  emergency housing (completing the VI-SPDAT)  He can also connect you to: legal services  veterans resources  employment resources  Drop in anytime during 11:00 to 2:00. Tucson has a telephone service to assist homeless people. The homeless resource line, (520) 791-2540, can put people in touch with shelter, food, and medical care immediately.

Our Space

Our Space is a program for our patrons experiencing homelessness to gather, share a meal, and build a space for community and connections. Meals, snacks and drinks will be provided.

Babies love stories and songs! The stories we read at Babytime are short and engaging, and the babies enjoy moving with the music. Share time with your baby in a fun, confidence-building environment. Babytime storytime is approximately 30 minutes or less; it's designed for babies up to 18 months of age. Siblings are welcome! There will be a short stay and play after storytime - make friends and have more fun! We recommend parking in the garage underneath the Main Library. The entrance is on the south side of Alameda Street, just west of Stone Avenue. If you are taking the bus, disembark at the Ronstadt Center and walk west on Pennington Street until you reach the library.
