The Van Buren Rotary Club is a long-standing civic organization focused on service, leadership, and strengthening the local community. The club has been serving Van Buren for more than 100 years and emphasizes opportunities for youth and community leadership. Van Buren Rotary Club Meetings: 2nd Thursday: 8 a.m. at Ark Coffee Company      2925 Alma Highway, Ste. C2, Van Buren, AR 4th Thursday: 12 p.m. in the OG&E Meeting Room at Van Buren Chamber     111 N. 12th Street, Van Buren, AR  Some of the club's key areas of involvement include: Youth leadership: Rotary supports leadership development and opportunities for local students. Scholarships: The club awards scholarships to local graduates. Community service: Members work with local organizations, businesses, and residents on projects that benefit Van Buren. Community improvement: Recent projects have included work connected to the Pointer Dog Park and a pollinator garden. Support for students: In one documented project, Van Buren Rotarians provided activity books, storybooks, posters, and bookmarks to 454 third-grade students in the school district. Fundraising and giving: The club has participated in projects supporting organizations such as CASA and the Salvation Army.

  Every September, golfers, volunteers, and sponsors gather for a lively day of connection and friendly competition at the Chamber Golf Classic. As one of the region’s most anticipated tournaments, the event features a tasty lunch before participants head out for an energizing afternoon on the course. Each year brings an exciting hole-in-one prize, along with fan-favorite contests like “Closest to the Pin,” “Closest to the Line,” and “Longest Drive.” Top-performing teams take home prizes and bragging rights to cap off the day. Sponsorships are now available for the 19th Annual Van Buren Chamber Golf Classic at Eagle Crest Golf Course in Alma. Registration includes green fees, cart, driving range, and lunch. The format is a four-person scramble, with check-in and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and driving range from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Shot-gun start at 12:00 p.m.  Click here for a sponsorship form and a list of sponsorship opportunities.

As part of the UAFS Center for Economic Development, they connect community partners with university expertise to help nonprofits expand their impact, build sustainable organizations, and develop future leaders.  This monthly drop-in provides an opportunity for local nonprofit leaders, staff, and volunteers to connect with UAFS representatives, access resources, and share information that strengthens community impact.
