If so, please be sure to join our “history” tour group that evening exclusively offered after orientation before the evening begins! Please remember to bring a flashlight! Special NotificationsThe three-hour guided tour is 7:00pm-10:00pm.Everybody must bring their own flashlight. HORNET does not supply individual lights.Cameras are welcome but must have a neck strap.Tour participants must wear comfortable shoes. The Live-Aboard program includes an evening tour, breakfast and dinner in the original Enlisted Mess, late-night ghost stories, and more! The program is suitable for all age ranges and its standard single-night stays are divided into: Family/Small Group Live-Aboard: For individual families who wish to stay aboard.Youth Group Live-Aboard: For organized youth groups such as scouts and schools.Adult Group Live-Aboard: For organized adult clubs, work groups, or groups of friends.

We will be focusing on the war in the Pacific and on the cooperation between China and the United States (The Doolittle Raid, Flying Tigers, Carrier Raids in the Pacific and more). We will have special presentations, exhibits and much more! The agenda for the day will be as follows: 10:30am – 11:30am Opening ceremony and VIP speeches Main Stage in Hangar Bay 311:30am – 12:30pm USS Hornet Presentation Main Stage in Hangar Bay 312:30pm – 1:30pm Break for lunch1:30pm – 4:30pm Panel discussions of select topics of World War II in the China theater and US/Chinese cooperation Main Stage in Hangar Bay 34:40pm – 5:20pm dinner and social Main Stage in Hangar Bay 35:20pm – 5:40pm Break for appetizers/prep for closing performance6:00pm – 7:00pm closing concert (short performance)/fashions how/awards ceremony Flight Deck (weather permitting-otherwise in hangar Bay) We will have Pacific themed food vendors with food available for purchase (full lunch/appetizers int he evening).
