Our Veterans Service Representatives (VSR's) are thoroughly trained and accredited by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to represent you. Contra Costa County VSR's are not employees of the federal government, they are county employees ready to assist you with any Veterans claim. They will assist you in securing the maximum benefits. Your representative will work closely with service officers from a Veterans organization of your choice. Appointments are required. We can assist you with information and applications for: Compensation for service-related disabilities. Pension for wartime Veterans with non-service-connected disabilities. Education benefits and vocational rehabilitation. Medical treatment at VA Medical Centers Home loan benefits Government Life Insurance. Burial Benefits. Pension for non-service-related deaths. Proceeds of government life insurance. Military Survivor Benefits Plan (SBP). Medical benefits. California College Tuition Fee Waiver Program. Computer Help

Drop in for computer help with our volunteers. Volunteers can assist with eReaders, Smart phones, basic computer skills, and printing/scanning. They are first come first serve.

Let’s get ready for kindergarten! We’ll have an assortment of activities designed to pinpoint preschool milestones like letter recognition, fine motor skills, learning through play, and more! No registration required.

Midweek Mixup

Take a break and have some fun after school at the Brentwood Library every Wednesday! This program, open to tweens and teens in grades 6-12, features a mix of games, crafts, snacks and opportunities to meet new friends. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!

The Youth Arts Connection workshops are led by professional poets, spoken word artists, and community advocates from Contra Costa County. The spoken word, poetry, music, and artistic workshops serve youth ages 12-18 at the District 3 and 5 libraries of Antioch, Brentwood, and Pittsburg. A creative and supportive artist team will work with youth to develop skills for personal growth, team building, educational, and professional opportunities.
