Homework Help on Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30-6pm. A volunteer will be available to assist students in grades K-6th with homework assignments on a first come, first served basis. Volunteers will be in the children's area of the Concord Library. No appointments. Communication with the volunteer will only be regarding academic work. Any assistance that they provide will be with a school textbook and/or a school assignment. All children under 8 need to have a caretaker in the library while they are being assisted. Due to library closures, there will not be Homework Help on the following dates: Monday, January 19, 2026 Monday, February 16, 2026 Wednesday, April 22, 2026

Contra Costa County Health Services in partnership with Contra Costa County Library System are here to support library staff and patrons alike. Currently the Library Wellness Team consists of a Community Support Worker and Mental Health Clinician. They assist individuals in various areas that library staff may not be able to. They offer education about Contra Costa County鈥檚 mental health and community support services. They do this through lived experience, education and a passion to help and serve our communities to enhance wellness. They offer a supportive ear and bring a new addition to the library system via connections and partnerships. The team is currently offering meditation classes on Monday mornings from 10:30-11:30 am. You can find the Library Wellness Team at these Libraries in Contra Costa County: Concord Library | Mon-Tues | 10am-4pm San Pablo Library | Wed-Thurs | 10am-4pm Antioch Library | Friday | 9am-4pm

Art Therapy

Use your creative expression and destress with this free art program led by the Library Wellness Team every second and fourth Monday of the month.

Please note that our volunteers may need to assist others who visit during drop in hours. Our Tech Help volunteers can help with: Basic web searching eBooks & eReaders Printing/copying Emailing Saving & attaching files Navigating Contra Costa County Library website Libby, Kanopy, Flipster, and other digital library resources Microsoft Office & Google Suite General computer/technology questions Please note that Tech Help volunteers cannot: Repair devices Install hardware, software, or program updates on devices Provide word processing services (e.g., typing letters, preparing/formatting documents) Provide private lessons or accept payment of any kind Recommend products for purchase Provide online shopping services or place online ads Conduct personal research

Join Concord Library's Teen Advisory Group! TAG works with library staff to help make the branch the best place possible for teens. As a member, you'll be involved in library projects, help to plan programs, meet other teens, and earn community service credit. Teens will make new friends while building leadership and communication skills. Attend a meeting to learn more. We will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4pm. For students in grades 7-12.
