Join us for Family Storytime for all ages in our program room! This storytime series is suitable for all ages and will feature stories, songs, rhymes and dances, all to encourage the development of crucial early literacy skills. Parents and children will listen together, learn together, and sing together. Storytime is limited to the first 100 families, with a maximum of 2 adults per family group. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to sit on.

We live in an environment surrounded by sound. It isn’t surprising that sound can influence our mood. For a moment, escape from outside stimuli, relax, and recharge as this form of meditation melts tension away with sound waves.  Experience the melodies and tones of world instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, flutes, rattles and drums. The consistent vibration of sound healing instruments creates a deeply meditative experience. Crystal bowls emit a relaxing frequency that puts the body and mind at ease. Paulyn Cayapan Nguyen, healer and founder of Starseed Heritage, will guide this meditation with harmonic crystal bowls. Adults and Teens welcome. The New Beginning’s Quartet performs music that reviewers have called “intellectually and emotionally transformative” and strives to push the boundaries of contemporary jazz. Bassist Ryan Trujillo is one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most prominent working musicians and jazz educators. Holding a bachelor’s and master’s degree in jazz studies from San Jose State University, Trujillo combines his rich musical knowledge and virtuosic musicianship with an uncompromising passion for groove, expression, and improvisation.
