True to our mission of being Open for ExplorationTM, this space is all about trying new things, pushing buttons (literally!) and discovering what you can make when youâve got pro tools at your fingertips. Grab a Maker Laptop and jump into editing, animation, digital art or whatever youâre dreaming up. Pick up an iPad to sketch in Procreate or build a beat in GarageBand. Want to start a podcast, stream or record voice audio? Podcasting mics are ready when you are. Whether youâre working on school project, launching your YouTube channel, designing fanart, making music, or just messing around to see what happens â this is your creative zone. No pressure, no cost, no experience needed. Just drop in, plug in, and start making something awesome. Chen-style Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is widely acknowledged as the ancestor of all other styles of Taijiquan. This class will introduce the Chen-style Taijiquan form, Silk-reeling Exercises and Wuji Qigong. The Chen-style Taijiquan form is soft and graceful with strong rooted stands that will help students to develop strength, balance, coordination and an understanding of basic Taiji principles. Silk-reeling Exercises are a series of spiral movements that promote muscle relaxation and flexibility by reducing physical tension and strain. Wuji Qigong (standing meditation) will help students cultivate internal energy (qi) with proper body alignment for better internal energy flow which will enhance their immune systems, and reduce physical and mental stress.  Space is limited. First come, first served.

We read a wide range of titles and genres: from historical fiction to contemporary, mysteries to graphic novels, as well as memoirs and general nonfiction. If you can't make it to the Foster City Library, this is a hybrid program, and you can join us via Zoom. We're inviting all knitters, aspiring or experts, to join the Knitting Circle! The Knitting Circle meets in person at the Foster City Library every second and fourth Friday of the month, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Bring your current knitting project to unwind, socialize, troubleshoot and cast on! We will also have simple knit-alongs, where all knitters work on the same project! While this is not a formal instructional class, Knitting Circle members collaborate together to work on basic knitting skills so we can confidently knit, purl, cast on and bind off.
