Are you ready to dive into the wonderful world of sewing? If you're a curious beginner or just looking for a fun new skill, our Sewing Machine Basics Jr is the perfect starting point. This class is specifically designed for kids aged 5-18.  We'll teach you the essentials of using a sewing machine, from threading the needle to winding a bobbin. Get hands-on practice running some stitches and see how easy and exciting sewing can be!  Bring your creativity and enthusiasm, no experience is needed. All materials will be provided. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up.  In order to make this program available to the widest audience possible and to accommodate our waitlist, please only register for one session per project.

Join us at the Foster City Library, in partnership with TechExchange, for a four-session computer class taught by a certified instructor in English. Learn essential computer skills in a supportive, cohort-based format. The course is 8 hours in total, divided into two classes per week over two weeks. Upon completing all four classes, you’ll get to keep the laptop and take it home with you! Attendance to all four classes is required to receive the free laptop. There are only 15 seats available.

Chen-style Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is widely acknowledged as the ancestor of all other styles of Taijiquan. This class will introduce the Chen-style Taijiquan form, Silk-reeling Exercises and Wuji Qigong. The Chen-style Taijiquan form is soft and graceful with strong rooted stands that will help students to develop strength, balance, coordination and an understanding of basic Taiji principles. Silk-reeling Exercises are a series of spiral movements that promote muscle relaxation and flexibility by reducing physical tension and strain. Wuji Qigong (standing meditation) will help students cultivate internal energy (qi) with proper body alignment for better internal energy flow which will enhance their immune systems, and reduce physical and mental stress.  Space is limited. First come, first served.
