Learn what you should do if you encounter ICE at home, inside a vehicle, at place of employment, or in public. The presentation is tailored for impacted community members and allies alike. Resources will be distributed including informational flyers (updated 5/5), Rapid Response Network (RRN) posters, yellow RRN cards and red Know Your Rights (KYR) cards at the event. Everyone is welcome. No registration is needed. This presentation will be in English and there will be a presentation in Spanish on Monday, July 14 at 6:30pm. -------------------- Infórmese sobre la Red de Respuesta Rápida del Condado de Santa Clara, su funcionamiento y la importancia de contactar con la línea directa. Did you know that Santa Clara County was the first county to have all of its cities designated as “Age-Friendly” by the World Health Organization? The World Health Organization’s Age-friendly Cities framework addresses eight interconnected “domains of livability” that identify and address barriers impacting the well-being and participation of older individuals. Clara County received its Age-Friendly designation in 2018; you can find out more about the original action planning at: https://www.agefriendlysiliconvalley.org/. To maintain this designation, the County began work to update its age-friendly planning in September 2024. This planning started with a survey asking questions about the eight domains of livability. The survey was open to Santa Clara County residents 45 and older and 2100 surveys were submitted. At the community listening sessions, survey results will be presented to the community help interpret the results and hear us more voices. We hope that you can join us and share your voice at these sessions. Snacks and thank you gifts will be provided! All sessions are 2 hours long open to county residents 45 and older. Each session will consist of a presentation with highlights from the survey results (in English) followed by small breakout groups where the results can be discussed in depth. Bi-lingual facilitators will be available for the breakout groups.
