Join us for this 4-week creative series writing class where we’ll explore personal history through inquiry, memory, photography, nature, and travel. Using prompts and guided reflection, you'll begin shaping a narrative around a meaningful period of your life spent on the coast. These series will be held by Victoria Cormack. Victoria enjoys working on storytelling, oral 
histories, memoirs and using art and creativity to spark people's inspiration and help
 them share their tales. She is a writer, gerontologist, journalist, photographer and mixed media explorer who loves to travel. This is a unique opportunity to kick-start your life story in a supportive, inspiring environment. Adults 18 and over are welcome. Class size is limited; 
please signup in person at the Half Moon Bay Library front desk to 
reserve your spot.

Materials and space are generously provided by Dragonfly Arts and the Half Moon Bay Public Library.

Gem Painting is taking the crafting world by storm. It’s the perfect mixture of paint-by-numbers and mosaic art, without the paint! Instead, tiny gems make a beautiful pattern and sparkle in the light. Gem Painting is a recurring series that invites creative makers to gather in the same place on a regular basis. If you are interested in participating, attend the first Friday of the month where canvases will be provided, and then drop in on the dates that work for your schedule so you can work on your masterpiece. Participants are not required to attend every session, but we will only be accepting new participants on a monthly basis. As this project aims to gather creative makers in the community, each participant's gem painting materials will be labeled and held at the library until the month is complete. Check the schedule below for when we will provide canvases to new participants and when we will only allow pre-existing participants to drop in. December 5, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM -- Canvases available for new participants December 7, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM -- Drop in for pre-existing participants. New canvases will not be available at this session.
