The art season in Laguna Beach flourishes year round with First Thursdays Art Walk. This educational monthly art event, held on the first Thursday of every month from 6 – 9pm, celebrates the diverse cultural art scene of Laguna Beach and is free to the public. First Thursdays Art Walk is funded by member galleries, local art institutions, lodging establishments, and the City of Laguna Beach. First Thursdays Art Walk was founded as an independent, community-serving, non-profit with the mission to promote Laguna Beach as a leading destination and community of fine art galleries. Government Affairs Committee (GAC) The Chamber's GAC meets on the first Thursday of every month to identify and support legislative and regulatory issues that serve the interest of Chamber members and the business community. The Committee also reviews specific business development issues and/or challenges that are brought to their attention by member businesses. The Chamber's relationship with the city is one of mutual respect, with the understanding that the Chamber will always advocate for the business community. This is a member benefit.  Members can have candid conversations with elected officials we invite as our special guest speakers. MEMBER BENEFIT Registration is required.   The 59th annual parade will be on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The theme for the 2026 parade is "America 250 (1776-2026)" Grand Marshal Dick Metz Honored Patriot John Connolly Citizen of the Year Michael Lindsey Artist of the Year David Nelson Athlete of the Year Brian Lopes Jr. Citizens: TBA   How to Participate The Patriots Day Parade Association is a small group of dedicated volunteers. They welcome new members on their committee and are in search of volunteers to assist on the day of the parade. To enter a group or organization to march in the parade, or to advertise in the parade booklet, email Sandi Werthe at [email protected] or call (949) 494-6016. The ad and entry deadline is January 16, 2025.  Parade Day  This event takes place annually on the first Saturday in March. Street closures in the downtown area are typically in place from 10:00 a.m. until the parade ends close to 1:30 p.m. with additional parking restrictions in place.  The route for the parade starts at Laguna Beach High School on Park Avenue, proceeds down Park Avenue to Glenneyre Street and turns right, proceeds to Forest Avenue and turns right, proceeds up Forest Avenue to City Hall, and disperses down Ocean Avenue.
