Los Altos First Friday Los Altos First Fridays are community-building events held during the evenings of the first Friday of the month in Downtown Los Altos.  First Fridays are meant to be a fun, social evening for residents of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and neighboring communities. It is a great opportunity to shop, dine, and explore what Downtown has to offer.  Many downtown merchants extend their hours, offer complimentary refreshments, and provide fun and interesting in-store activities.  Music on the streets livens the evening.  And, of course, our many fine restaurants are open. Bring your family. Invite your friends and neighbors. Catch-up with people you haven't seen for a while. Los Altos First Fridays are organized by Los Altos Forward, a group of residents, merchants and property owners dedicated to promoting vibrancy in our downtown.  Los Altos Forward is a program of the Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation. Good ideas and talents are welcome! If you or someone you know would like to perform at an upcoming First Friday or if you would like to be part of the fun organizing or promoting this event, let us know.

One of the most popular street festivals in the Bay Area returns to Downtown Los Altos for the 46th edition of the Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival. Showcasing the distinctive works of artists and craftspeople from around the United States, the Festival also features select vintages from local wineries as well as a wide variety of foods including Thai, Chinese, Mexican, and All-American favorites. (Please note: Artist booths and Water/Soda sales open at 10am. Glassware/Wristband sales begin at 10:30am. Wine, Spirits, and Beer service will begin at 11am. Make sure to bring proof-of-age ID.)
