Pre-registration is required. All materials provided. Ages 16+ Learn how to capture the magical light of the Central Coast in oils with local landscape painter, Victoria Galitzine. This class will cover the basics of solvent-free oil painting utilizing the expressive “alla prima” (wet-on-wet) technique. Victoria will guide you step-by-step on how to layer oils using quick, intuitive brushwork. All ability levels are welcome. You will leave with your very own impressionist-style oil seascape. General Information The Planning Commission performs duties and exercises power and authority with regard to planning, subdivisions, zoning, zoning administration and other land use regulatory controls as prescribed by ordinance and state law. The Planning commission consists of seven (7) residents of the Town of Los Gatos, each serving a 4-year term. Applicants are asked by Council to demonstrate knowledge of the Town Code and its land use and planning policies. The Commission has several standing committees and individual Planning Commissioners also represent the commission on a number of Council-appointed committees.  Committee terms are for 1 year and are appointed by the Planning Commission Chair. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, in the Town Council Chambers at 7pm.  Commission meetings are broadcast live on KCAT-15.  Live and archived videos are also available online. All meetings are open to the public.

Interested in trying figure drawing for the first time or brushing up on your skills? Join us at NUMU for our monthly, self-guided figure drawing sessions! Each session will take place in our Flick Drawing Studio with a live model, easels, newsprint paper, and pencils. You are welcome to bring additional materials.  We will begin each two-hour session warming up with two and five-minute poses, followed by ten and twenty-minute poses. There will be a scheduled break midway through the session. All experience levels are welcome, but please note this is an uninstructed session. This is an opportunity to draw a live model and to connect with peers. A NUMU staff member will be present to facilitate the timing of the model’s poses. Questions? Join the Rotary Club of Los Gatos for the 48th Annual Great Race on Saturday, September 26, 2026.   The course will cover 4 miles in Vasona and Oak Meadow Parks, some of it on trails many park users may have never ventured. Participants can also do a 2 mile route.   The course is USATF-certified. There will be an aid station and many course monitors ensuring all participants stay on course.   Event will begin at 8:30am.   We are also offering a 1-Mile Kids Fun Run at 8:00am prior to the main event.   Stick around afterward for a Fun and Fitness Fair! Route can be seen here.   BIB PICK-UP: For those of you who did not opt to have your bib mailed to you, you can pick it up on race morning at Will Call in the race day registration area at the Gateway Pavilion near the Start/Finish line.
