HIKE TO THE LOST TOWN OF LOMA PRIETA - Led by Cal State Parks  Hike into the California State Forest of Nisene Marks, Aptos CA The hike will be around 2.5 - 3 hours. We will meet at the Port Gate at the Porter Family Picnic Area, and follow the Loma Prieta Grade Trail, to the Mill Pond Trail to the Loma Prieta Town Site and back on the Aptos Creek Fire Trail. The trail is relatively flat with two areas that can get steep. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring water, snacks, sunblock, a walking stick and whatever else you need to be comfortable on this hike. Bring a picnic lunch for after the hike if you wish. Tables will be available.

General Information The Planning Commission performs duties and exercises power and authority with regard to planning, subdivisions, zoning, zoning administration and other land use regulatory controls as prescribed by ordinance and state law. The Planning commission consists of seven (7) residents of the Town of Los Gatos, each serving a 4-year term. Applicants are asked by Council to demonstrate knowledge of the Town Code and its land use and planning policies. The Commission has several standing committees and individual Planning Commissioners also represent the commission on a number of Council-appointed committees.  Committee terms are for 1 year and are appointed by the Planning Commission Chair. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, in the Town Council Chambers at 7pm.  Commission meetings are broadcast live on KCAT-15.  Live and archived videos are also available online. All meetings are open to the public.
