Adam Becker is an author and astrophysicist whose latest book - More Everything Forever: AI Overlords, Space Empires, and Silicon Valley's Crusade to Control the Fate of Humanity - is about "the terrible plans that tech billionaires have for the future and why they don’t work." In it, Becker breaks down why we will not be colonizing Mars or creating machines with so-called superintelligence any time soon, and lays out how all of tech's futuristic claims are really just about consolidating money and power. Come practice yoga! This class is designed for those new to yoga, as well as long-time practitioners. Accessibly paced, we will focus on the fundamentals of poses (asana), breathing, and being in community. This class is meant to ground students in their bodies, while not taking ourselves too seriously. Come as you are to the mat. Participants will need to wear comfortable clothing for movement and bring a yoga mat and small blanket (or bath towel), as well as any other supports they would like.  Get accessibility information. Jaime has been practicing yoga since 2011. The more she practices, the more she uncovers how much yoga has to offer in transforming a busy mind and in transforming one’s relation to the world. Jaime sees herself as a life-long learner whose teaching style is to hold space in class for others to explore their practice. Jaime completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training and has completed additional trainings on energetics and breath.

Introduction to Finding Grants: Covers what funders are looking for in grantseeking nonprofits, and how to find potential funders. The class highlights the 10 most important things participants need to know about finding grants, including: who funds nonprofits and their motivations; what funders really want to know about the organizations they are interested in funding; and how to identify potential funders and make the first approach. Introduction to Foundation Directory: Demonstrates how to use Foundation Directory, the most comprehensive prospect research tool for fundraisers, with over 240,000 grantmaker profiles.
