The Draw Together Silver Series is a five-part class and art studio designed for adults aged 55+. We will come together to participate in an artistic endeavor while promoting community and connection in a safe and inclusive space. Participants are encouraged to engage in conversation and share their finished art with the group. Classes will cover subjects from creative doodling and watercolor to mixed media greeting cards. Engage in mindfulness meditation exercises and movement practices that you can incorporate into your daily routine. Mindfulness and meditation are practices that involve focusing your attention on the present moment, cultivating awareness, and promoting a sense of calm and clarity. Everyone will gain new skills and tools to help dissolve stress and long-held anxieties. Participants will build personal inner tools of reflective inquiry, curiosity, self-compassion, and self-trust. Each session will include time for questions and answers.  Due to high demand, we ask that community members sign up for a single occurrence of this series so that as many community members as possible can participate in this experience. Materials for this program are generously supplied by MagiKids and their mission to support the intellectual health of youth through Magic the Gathering. This drop-in weekly activity is intended for school-aged youth as part of Power Up Afternoons.
