Computer Docents can: Teach you to use email Teach you to create and save documents Teach you to print out a document or web page Teach you to do basic web searches Assist you with eBooks on the Libby app Computer Docents cannot: Perform repair work on your device Install hardware, software or program updates on your device Provide word processing services (typing on your behalf, etc.) Provide private lessons, or accept payment or remuneration of any kind Recommend products for you to buy (e.g., computers), do your online shopping, or place ads for you (e.g., eBay, Craig’s List, Amazon consignment sales, want ads, etc.) No appointments necessary. Learn to sew in the library makerspace! In this beginners workshop, you'll learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine and create a simple project to take home! For tweens and teens, 9yrs to 18yrs, no experience necessary. Each date covers the same project; please only register for one class per month! Other workshop dates are available on October 16 or 23. Reminders: Parents/ legal guardians and participants must complete a "Maker Safety Waiver" and parents will be asked to remain present in the library during the entirety of the event Please allow ample time for parking and to check in to the event by 3:00 pm. Spots are held for 10 minutes past the workshop start time. After 10 minutes open spots are optioned to drop-in students. This class runs 2hrs long. Depending on the participant, they may finish early. Please check in with volunteers or staff if you have questions about pick-up times.

Join us for a performance by Cascada de Flores, a duo dedicated to the exploration, preservation, and dissemination of Mexican and Caribbean traditional music and dance. Cascada de Flores will be performing Treasure of Aquíles. Aquíles, a boy whose pueblo is barren of dance, music, and song, sets out on an adventure with his morral (a bag filled with his favorite things). Along the way, he learns to sing from a bee, rhythm from a horse, and to dance from a flea. All ages and abilities are welcome.
