If you’re a seasoned artist, someone crafty, DIY enthusiast who likes to dabble, come check out Drop-In Maker Space. Our volunteers and community experts are there every Monday night to assist with starting a new project or helping to get over the next hurdle. The Maker Space is equipped with a Cameo Sillhouette Pro for all your crafting needs, as well as an Epilog Fusion Pro Lasercutter and the Ultimaker s5 3D Printer so there's no limit to what you could create. The Maker Space even has multiple sewing machines available for avid stitchers looking for a workspace, machine, or volunteer to help them finish a project. Like any good creator, the Maker Space is always evolving, so Drop-In to see what’s new. You don’t have to be high-tech to use the Maker Space. If you just need some room to spread out and get messy, make it in the Maker Space. Drop-In Shop is for Adults 18 and over only. Maker Safety Waiver required to participate in hands-on projects.

Kick-off the summer with a fun Henna class for tweens and teens with local artist Rachel-Anne Palacios. Learn the history of Henna/Mehndi and practice making your own designs. Each teen will also receive a professional henna by Rachel-Anne! Program is limited to tweens and teens 12 to 18, registration is required. ---- By registering you are stating that you understand that henna is a natural plant/vegetable dye and can last anywhere from one (1) to three (3) weeks; and that you have discussed with your child appropriate symbols and placement on the body for the temporary design. Drop-In Knitting & Sewing

Join an enthusiastic group of crafters on Tuesday evenings in the makerspace. All skill levels and abilities are welcome. Volunteers will be on hand for assistance with our sewing machines. Bring your own projects and supplies. No registration required.

Learn to sew in the library makerspace! In this beginners workshop, you'll learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine and create a simple project to take home! For tweens and teens, 9yrs to 18yrs, no experience necessary. The same project is covered all month long. Please only register for one class per month. Other workshop dates are available on June 5 or 26 Summer Sessions start at 1pm Reminders: Parents/ legal guardians and participants must complete a "Maker Safety Waiver" and parents will be asked to remain present in the library during the entirety of the event Please allow ample time for parking and to check in to the event by 1pm. Spots are held for 15 minutes past the workshop start time. After 15 minutes open spots are optioned to drop-in students. This class runs 2hrs long. Depending on the participant, they may finish early. Please check in with volunteers or staff if you have questions about pick-up times.
