**Qigong is now taking place at the San Carlos Adult Community Center at 601 Chestnut Street.** Qigong means “practice of vital energy”. In this class, we will practice a series of gentle spiral movements that help to open all the major joints in the body and increase internal energy flow, promoting better flexibility and mobility while reducing tension and strain.

Come along on an imaginary adventure for Family Storytime. Hear new stories, sing songs, and learn wiggles that the whole family can enjoy together. Songs and stories are best suited for toddlers and preschoolers. Capacity limits may apply.

This event will take place at Waterdog Lake and Open Space, 2400 Lyall Way, Belmont, CA 94002 We sometimes think that it is necessary to travel “to nature.” While trips to the woods or the beach are fun, you really only need to go to your backyard. In fact, you could be living in a high-rise in the middle of the city and still experience nature. Stop, notice, wonder and make it a habit. All you need to start nature journaling is a simple pencil, sketchbook and a bit of time to spend outside. In this 90-minute session, you will learn and practice nature journaling and leave with all the information needed to start a lifetime of exploring and enjoying nature. All materials will be supplied so that you can get started. Dawn Mulliken is experienced in nature journaling. She has years of experience leading field programs for high school students. She is currently working on a Nature Journal Educator Certificate with the Wild Wonder Foundation.
