This is a short introductory course to coding for youth, recommended ages 7 to 12. The program is designed to teach children the basics and purpose of coding and is designed for those with no prior knowledge of Swift Playgrounds/coding. Everyone Can Code: Introduction to Swift Playgrounds Get started with Swift, the language used to create apps and programs for iOS and macOS. Participants will be introduced to the Swift Playgrounds app and walk through a simple coding lesson on the Apple iPad. Please note that space is limited, and the program will be first come, first serve. Music and Movement is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities through songs, rhymes, finger plays, and movement activities. Music and Movement is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of learning for all ages. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers!  Free, 50 person maximum. Story Time tickets required. Another event, Music and Movement B will start at 11:15 for those that weren't able to make it inside for this event. Seating for Storytime is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Introducing Pawsitive Learning: Empowering Youth in Feline Care—a unique program designed to educate and inspire the next generation of responsible cat caretakers. Live Demonstrations: Enjoy hands-on activities with other friendly feline friends. Interactive Learning: Kids can engage in Q&A sessions, handle educational materials, and learn directly from experts. Take-Home Resources: Receive educational handouts to continue learning at home, including a cost breakdown of caring for a cat. Expert Instruction: Led by an animal behaviorist and a team of cat care experts with years of experience.
