Storytime is designed to accommodate a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement activities. Storytime is a fun and interactive experience for the whole family that promotes the joys of reading and learning for all ages. This program is geared for children of all ages and their parents/caregivers! This week we present a special Soccer themed Storytime in celebration of our Summer Learning Program! Free, with limited capacity. As we navigate pandemic life, here are a few modifications to our Storytime: Seating for Storytime is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tickets will be distributed at the Information Desk 60 minutes prior to the start of Storytime. A second Storytime session will follow the first if the first session reaches maximum capacity of 50 participants. This program is developed to align with the Early Education Quality Standards. Volunteer away your fines at a rate of $20 per hour while helping the library maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Volunteers are needed to help with: Book cover cleaning - Use disinfecting wipes to reinvigorate dingy books Children's toys cleanup - Use disinfecting wipes to disinfect children's toys Material inspection - Check books for torn pages, pen marks, etc. Tabletop/windows/grounds cleanup - Help reinvigorate our branch by wiping down tabletops, cleaning dusty windows, and picking up litter and sweeping outside the library.
