The Health and Wellness Resource Group exists as a program of the Chamber to: promote health and wellness related resources and information to increase the financial success of businesses and the personal well-being of individuals. The Health and Wellness Resource Group is a group of Chamber members who are dedicated and interested in contributing to a thriving community that incorporates health and wellness into our daily lives. They help business owners and managers support the health of their employees, and understand  the value of doing so. A healthy workforce is critical to a healthy community. The San Rafael Chamber’s 2026 Economic Forecast brings together top economic insight, local leadership, and forward-looking conversation about what it will take for Marin’s economy to thrive. This year’s program features renowned economist Christopher Thornberg of Beacon Economics, returning by popular demand to provide a clear-eyed look at where the economy is headed. We’ll also hear from Marin County Executive Officer Derek Johnson on business retention and expansion, and the role employers, policymakers, and community leaders play in keeping Marin competitive. Two timely panel conversations anchor the morning: 1. The Architecture of a Workforce Lifecycle explores how talent is built across a lifetime from early childhood education, career exposure to the skilled trades, professional pathways, and the growing role of older workers. 2. Housing that Sustains a Thriving Economy examines how housing availability, governance, and choice directly shape workforce stability and economic vitality. The program also includes a short video featuring local employers sharing how housing and long commutes are driving turnover and threatening Marin’s workforce courtesy of our San Rafael Leadership Institute cohort of 2023. This is more than a forecast! It’s a conversation about how we build the systems that support a resilient, prosperous local economy!

Since its inception in 2019, Under the Stars has raised over $700,000 to support Ritter Center’s mission to prevent and resolve homelessness while improving the health, dignity, and well-being of people in Marin County. Your support helps Ritter Center build a healthier, housed community where everyone has access to high-quality healthcare, behavioral health services, and essential support, regardless of their financial circumstances. Ritter Center’s annual signature event brings together over 200 corporate sponsors, business leaders, and philanthropic supporters, united by a shared commitment to driving meaningful change. The evening begins with an exclusive VIP Reception at 5:00 pm, followed by an elegant dinner, an exciting live auction, and the recognition of our distinguished honorees.
