One week only:  July 5 - 12, 2025.   Help the San Ramon Library reach our goal of diverting 1000 lbs of textiles from landfills! Did you know that over 14.5 million tons of textiles enter U.S. landfills or are incinerated each year? Or that the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global waste water?  But you can help! Bring us your old clothes and textiles and we will help ensure they get REUSED or RECYCLED.  ACCEPTED TEXTILES  (Both reusable and damaged) Pants, jeans, skirts, dresses, suits, shorts, shirts Coats, jackets, gloves, hats, scarves Shoes, boots, heels, sneakers, sandals, socks Bras, underwear, slips, camisoles, tights Handbags, belts, ties, headbands Towels, sheets, tablecloths   Wallets, totes, backpacks, stuffed animals Pillows, bedding, comforters, blankets, NOT ACCEPTED Textiles that are wet, moldy, contaminated with chemicals or bio-hazardous waste  Mattresses Furniture Suitcases Oversized Items will not be accepted Items will only be accepted the week of July 5-12, 2025.
