In this exhibit, Hayoon Lee shares her closeness to nature, her safe space, as she calls it. Walking along trails surrounded by trees and sky helped her cope with feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Through her art, she shares that healing energy with others. Her paintings are often filled with shades of green, capturing the gentle strength of forests, plants, and quiet landscapes. About the Artist Hayoon Lee is a 19-year-old artist living in Saratoga, California. She was born in South Korea and moved to the United States with her family in 2018. She is diagnosed with autism and speech delay. She graduated from Saratoga High School in June 2024 and is currently participating in a postsecondary program. Recently, she's become more interested in people - their stories, emotions, and connections. She's slowly stepping closer to the human world in her work, trying to express moments of curiosity, empathy, and shared experience.

The exhibit runs from June 1 to July 29, 2025 in the Saratoga Library Group Study Room.

We live in an environment surrounded by sound. It isn’t surprising that sound can influence our mood. For a moment, escape from outside stimuli, relax, and recharge as this form of meditation melts tension away with sound waves.  Experience the melodies and tones of world instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, flutes, rattles and drums. The consistent vibration of sound healing instruments creates a deeply meditative experience. Crystal bowls emit a relaxing frequency that puts the body and mind at ease. Paulyn Cayapan Nguyen, healer and founder of Starseed Heritage, will guide this meditation with harmonic crystal bowls. Adults and Teens welcome. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own yoga mat. No registration required. (*Pitches emitted from the bowls could be overstimulating.)

It’s using technology to locate, evaluate, and communicate information. Want to learn how to search the internet, set up an email, navigate the library's online resources, or do other basic computer tasks? Join us to get help with your phone, tablet, computer, or smart watch. Depending on the needs of the participants this program will function as either an instruction based class or one-on-one help.
