SECURE CAMPUS is implemented when the threat of violence or police action in the surrounding community requires precautionary measures to ensure the safety of staff and students. When a campus is in SECURE CAMPUS status, classroom instruction and/or activity may continue if all classroom and office doors are locked and all students and staff remain inside through the duration of the event, except for essential needs. Outer gates and other entrance/exit pointscan be closed (NOT LOCKED) to deter a potential perpetrator from entering school grounds.During a Secure Campus, the Incident Command Team or staff assigned by the Incident Command Team shall assist in escorting students and staff who may need to leave the classroom for Essential Needs. Essential Needs can include but are not limited to the flowing.â  Bathrooming/Toiletingâ  Medical Needs/Responseâ  Mental Health/Wellness Needs/ResponseThis response is considered appropriate for, but not limited to, the following types of emergencies:â  Potential threat of violence in the surrounding communityâ  Law enforcement activity in the surrounding communityA SECURE CAMPUS response may be elevated to LOCKDOWN / BARRICADE as circumstances demand in which case instruction immediately ceases and students and staff follow LOCKDOWN / BARRICADE procedures.

STAR Test can be administered at any time but please try to have your whole class tested by May 22. The scores will be for the third trimester growth awards. Trimester awards are going to be held on June 5 and I will need ample time to review reports, make certificates and get all signatures on time.Students can continue to test right up to the last day of school June 11. If you would like to have your class continue to test but dont have a variety of leveled books I have class sets with different levels you can have to keep in class so that your class can continue to test. Please see me to get those sets.

Hi Ms. Olmos,I just want to connect with you on getting the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) started at your site. Iâve already connected with Monica on execution. Please review the following plan:Service Days: Tuesday, Thursday, FridayLocation: Pick-up station in the cafeteriaPortion Size: One portion of a fruit or vegetable per student, per dayDistribution: Sending one student/runner from each class to pick up the snack bag from Monica. If the student can provide a headcount, we can hand out the exact amount needed to reduce waste.Timing: Recommend serving the snack around the last recess (either just before or just after). I'll take your input on what works best for your schedule.Additionally, the program encourages a bit of nutrition education to support healthy eating habits. We can provide a monthly FFVP âfun factâ sheet, this could either be shared by teachers during snack time or incorporated into the morning announcements.
