What is Plein Air?Plein air painting (pronounced “plen air”) is a French term that means “open air.” It refers to the practice of painting outdoors, directly from life. Artists work quickly to capture light, color, and movement in real time. The Ventura County Mental Wellness Festival returns to Ventura Harbor on June 21st, 2025 from 10:30am-4:30pm! The organizer is local non-profit, Turning Point Foundation (turningpointfoundation.org), whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults experiencing serious mental illness, addiction, lack of housing and inadequate physical health care. The festival’s objective is to raise awareness about mental health and share mental wellness pathways that support, maintain and/or improve peoples’ mental health. This annual event celebrates the completion of National Mental Health Awareness Month (May). Come relax with Sound Bath sessionsFeel relaxed, be free from stress with this energy healing opportunity! Meet Tomoko from Two Moon Child! She is a Reiki & Karuna Reiki Explorer, and Metatron Colour Healing practitioner. She offers various monthly Sound Bath meditations at Ventura & Camarillo Buddhist Centers, and Ventura Yoga Studio. Tomoko will be facilitating two “Metatron Colour Healing Elemental Sound Bath” sessions at the Mental Wellness Festival. Perfect for the beautiful Ventura Harbor Village grass lawn area!
