Animals, such as dogs, cats and bunnies, are the perfect reading companions because they create a relaxed, comfortable and safe environment for sharing books. Children must be able to read independently and are encouraged to share a favorite book. Registration is recommended and reserves a 15-minute session with a furry friend. Welcome brave adventurers, your quest awaits! The Standley Lake library is now hosting Dungeons & Dragons for adults. Dungeons & Dragons is a role-playing fantasy game where a roll of the dice can change your future. Our first meet-up will focus on character creation and the basics of game play, and from there the adventuring begins. If you have never played before we will teach you the intricacies of the game. If you are an experienced adventurer your knowledge will be most welcome. The library will provide character sheets, rule books and dice, but if you have them please feel free to bring your own.
