ENGLISH 3 IS FULL. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. BoulderReads newest program, no-cost English classes for adults, is for Boulder County residents, workers, and visitors (16 years). This class, English 3: Expanding, is for learners who can communicate on topics regularly found in social and work settings. You will learn to describe events, experiences, hopes, and goals, and express reasons for opinions and plans. Classes meet in-person at NoBo Library and learners must attend every session. We provide all class materials! Childcare is not available. We’ll explore a variety of well loved heirloom dyes and freshly harvested seasonal color ingredients from the dye garden, how to make and use natural dye baths, and surface design techniques, and how to savor, store and use your dyes harvest in your studio and home all year long. Together we will create a local fall dye palette, share dye garden ideas, heirloom fiber and dye seeds, and create an array of take-home, naturally dyed palettes and textiles, saturated in the seasonal dye garden-grown colors of Colorado. *An abundance of helpful resources and plant-based color recipes will be shared upon completion of our class. ENGLISH 1 IS FULL. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.BoulderReads newest program, no-cost English classes for adults is for Boulder County residents, workers, and visitors (16 years). This class, English 1: Beginning, is for learners who are new to English. You will learn simple everyday expressions to communicate basic needs in speech and in writing. Classes meet in-person at NoBo Library and learners are expected to attend every session. We provide all class materials! Childcare is not available. Schedule: September 9 – November 20, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:30 – 7:00 pm If you are unsure which class is for you, you can find descriptions of all the English classes on the BoulderReads website. It's time to finish your high school diploma with an experienced instructor in a small group setting! The library offers in-person preparation classes, providing all learning materials needed at no cost. In order to earn a high school equivalency diploma you must pass all 5 tests.This class prepares you for the Math subject test. Additional tutoring support may be available if needed.Learners must be 16 years old and live or work in Boulder County. Registration is required and is limited to learners who have already passed their Language Arts (Reading and Writing) official exam(s). Registration will open on July 29nd and close on August 23rd.
