Visit during Open Studio hours to see our new makerspace in action, learn about equipment, or get hands-on with a project of your own. Staff is available for guidance with tools and materials. All experience levels and ages are welcome. Open Studio Equipment and Software: Sewing machines, Sergers, Dye Sublimation Printers, Heat Press, and design software such as the Adobe Suite and Blender on our laptops and computers. Safety and Use RequirementsAll patrons who visit the makerspaces must adhere to the Makerspace Use Policy. Minors (under 18) must have a parent/adult guardian agree to and sign the Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form before entering the space. Patrons under the age of fourteen must be supervised by a parent or adult guardian.

Join Luna Cultura at the Sewing Revolution. On the fourth Saturday of the month, we will create a beginner-level sewing project. Materials and tools will be provided. Participants can also bring clothing they want to repair, remake, or upcycle.The featured project generally takes 45 minutes to complete. We have limited sewing machines, so participants must share equipment and supplies.Registration is suggested but not required (it helps us calculate materials). Appropriate for ages 10 and up, minors under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Acompaña a Luna Cultura en la Revolución de la Costura. We will have tables with pre-loved clothes available for you to browse and take home. Leftover clothes will be donated or saved for a future clothing swap. We accept donations of clean clothes for all ages. We cannot accept undergarments, bathing suits, shoes, or accessories. Renueva tu armario en el intercambio de ropa en la biblioteca NoBo! Participa en moda sustentable trayendo tus prendas limpias para donar, y encontrando prendas nuevas-para-ti que te puedes llevar. 'Jogakbo' (조각보) is a Korean patchwork technique that weaves together tradition, creativity, and utility. It transforms scraps into vibrant patchwork multi functional cloths - Pojagi (포자기) . In this class you will learn the foundational techniques to create your own patchwork creation with both machine and by hand. This technique is a great way to create something stunning with left over fabric from other projects and practice wasting less. Previous sewing experience not required! Feel free to bring your own scraps - thin fabrics work best.

Electronics StudioFrom April to June, STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be facilitated by Maker-In-Residence, Ayesha Wilson, alongside Creative Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone!
