Safety and Use RequirementsAll patrons who visit the makerspaces must adhere to the Makerspace Use Policy. Minors (under 18) must have a parent/adult guardian agree to and sign the Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form before entering the space. Patrons under the age of fourteen must be supervised by a parent or adult guardian.

Just show up and practice your English with others!This group meets in-person at the NoBo Library in the BoulderReads Classroom on Thursdays, 4:15-5:30 p.m. First time participating? In this workshop series, kids will learn about coding and electronics through creative and playful activities with the BBC micro:bit, a “microcontroller” designed for students that can be used for a wide variety of electronics projects. Workshops will cover all kinds of topics including games, art, and sports,with space for kids to explore their interests. There are six unique, standalone workshops in this series and each will be focused on a different activity. Join us for one, a few, or all!These workshops are best suited for youth ages 9-11. Basic computer skills, such as the ability to use a mouse and keyboard and navigate a website, are preferred. According to makerspace policy, an adult caregiver must be present during the workshop. This is a family-friendly workshop; we encourage adults to participate alongside their children!Electronics StudioFrom April to June, STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be facilitated by Maker-In-Residence, Ayesha Wilson, alongside Creative Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone! Whether you're an experienced tinkerer or you're brand new to electronics, we invite you to create, learn, and explore topics in electronics in a supportive and creative community space.

Join Luna Cultura at the Sewing Revolution. On the fourth Saturday of the month, we will create a beginner-level sewing project. Materials and tools will be provided. Participants can also bring clothing they want to repair, remake, or upcycle.The featured project generally takes 45 minutes to complete. We have limited sewing machines, so participants must share equipment and supplies.Registration is suggested but not required (it helps us calculate materials). Appropriate for ages 10 and up, minors under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Acompaña a Luna Cultura en la Revolución de la Costura. We will have tables with pre-loved clothes available for you to browse and take home. Leftover clothes will be donated or saved for a future clothing swap. We accept donations of clean clothes for all ages. We cannot accept undergarments, bathing suits, shoes, or accessories. Renueva tu armario en el intercambio de ropa en la biblioteca NoBo!
