Get ready for one of Homecoming Week's most entertaining traditions! The Homecoming Kickball Game is a grade-level showdown featuring a fast-paced, high-energy twist on the classic game. Expect surprise rules, unexpected challenges, audience participation opportunities, and plenty of moments that will keep everyone involved from start to finish. Whether you're playing on the field or cheering from the stands, this event is all about school spirit, fun, and representing your class.   Player Participation Expectations Students interested in playing must submit a completed participation waiver to Farner in A109 by Friday, September 18th, 4:30pm. The first 20 students from each grade level to submit their waiver will earn a spot on their class team.Players must: * Submit a completed waiver by Friday, September 18th, 4:30pm* Be one of the first 20 students selected for their grade-level team* Check in using 5 Star Students upon arrival* Remain with their team in the designated dugout area throughout the event* Follow all directions from staff members, student leaders, and event organizers* Demonstrate positive sportsmanship toward teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators* Participate safely and appropriately in all activities and game elements* Respect all game rules, including any special rules or challenges introduced during the event* Represent their grade level and Riverdale Ridge with pride and respect Students who do not submit a waiver or are not selected for the team may attend as spectators but may not enter the team dugout or playing area. Spectator Participation Expectations Spectators play an important role in making this event exciting and successful. Students are encouraged to actively participate, cheer on their classmates, and engage in audience activities throughout the game.Spectators must: * Check in using 5 Star Students upon arrival* Remain in designated spectator areas unless invited to participate in an organized activity* Cheer positively and support all participants* Demonstrate good sportsmanship and school spirit* Follow directions from staff members, student leaders, and event organizers* Participate respectfully in audience games, challenges, and activities* Keep all comments, cheers, and interactions positive and appropriate Students who choose not to meet participation expectations may be removed from the event. Get ready for one of Homecoming Week's most entertaining traditions! The Homecoming Kickball Game is a grade-level showdown featuring a fast-paced, high-energy twist on the classic game. Date : Thursday, 10.1, 7-9pm Location : RRHS Auxiliary Field Cost : Free Movie : TBA---Movie on the Field is a community event designed for students to relax, enjoy a film outdoors, and safely connect with friends. All participants are expected to help maintain a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for everyone in attendance. Students must : * Check in using 5 Star Students upon arrival* Settle in within designated viewing areas and remain in those areas throughout the event unless directed by staff* Sit on blankets or low lawn chairs that do not block the view of others* Keep personal items contained and avoid leaving belongings in walkways or shared spaces* Use appropriate volume levels and keep conversations respectful during the film* Follow all directions from staff members, student leaders, and event organizers at all times* Respect the movie experience by not throwing objects, running, or engaging in disruptive behavior* Keep the viewing area clean by disposing of all trash and personal items before leaving* Demonstrate positive school behavior, including appropriate language and respectful interactions with others* Refrain from any prohibited items or behaviors per school policy (including vaping, alcohol, or other unsafe conduct) Students who do not meet participation expectations will be asked to leave the event and may receive further school consequences as appropriate. The Homecoming Tailgate is a FREE opportunity for students to come together, celebrate school spirit, enjoy activities, and connect with the Raven commUNITY before the Homecoming game. All participants are expected to help create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for everyone in attendance.Students must: * Check in using 5 Star Students upon arrival* Remain within designated tailgate areas unless directed by staff* Participate respectfully in games, activities, and entertainment opportunities* Demonstrate positive school spirit and encourage participation from others* Follow all directions from staff members, student leaders, security personnel* Use appropriate language and behavior at all times* Respect event equipment, games, decorations, and school property* Dispose of trash properly and help keep the tailgate area clean throughout the event* Respect fellow students, staff, families, and community members attending the event* Refrain from roughhousing, throwing objects, running through crowded areas, or engaging in unsafe behavior* Refrain from any prohibited items or behaviors per school policy (including vaping, alcohol, or other unsafe conduct) Students who do not meet participation expectations will be asked to leave the event and may receive further school consequences as appropriate. Students invited to callbacks following auditions will be asked to return for additional readings, movement, and/or singing as we continue exploring casting options for specific roles.This is a collaborative and energetic part of the process where students may be working closely with others, trying different character choices, and receiving direction to help us see a variety of possibilities on stage. Being called back does not guarantee a role, and not being called back does not mean a student is not cast.Please come prepared, stay focused, and continue to support your fellow performers as we work together to bring this story to life at The Ridge!Callbacks are invite only. In partnership with the Brighton Youth Commission, RRHS counseling will host a financial aid night!This event provides an overview of paying for college and we will have representatives on site to support families in completing their FAFSA. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the most important things you need to know about financial aid and affording college. All students, regardless of background or where they're going to college within the United States, should complete it. It gives you access to federal student loans, but also puts you in the running for federal grants and college scholarships and grants.  This event will be held Tuesday, October 20th from 5:30-7:30pm in the RRHS Learning Commons.  Families are encouraged to bring a charged Chromebook, their tax returns from the past two years and their social security numbers. Students may attend on their own but we request that if you are not an unaccompanied youth, to ensure you have your guardians tax information with you.  All parties (guardians and students) need to complete their FSA ID by creating an account on the Federal Student Aid website  prior to October 15th if planning to complete the FAFSA application during the event.
