Join library staff every Tuesday as we explore trails and neighborhoods surrounding Koelbel Library. Meet new people, connect with neighbors, enjoy good conversations and learn about library resources as we walk in Centennial and Greenwood Village. We will meet on the library patio at 9:00 am and leave no later than 9:10 am. From there we will explore the trails and neighborhoods that surround Koelbel Library, walking approximately 1-2 miles. Walk will conclude by 10:00 am.  For teens and adults but all ages are welcome. Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcome too. Our staff will have waivers on hand for you to sign before the walk begins. Consider bringing a water bottle and light snack. We also suggest wearing comfortable shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.  Program may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Are you looking for other players to practice America-style mahjong? Have you taken lessons but struggled to find a group that you could join? Come to Koelbel Library once a month for our open play sessions. Bring your updated National Mahjong League card and the library will provide tables and mahjong sets.  This program is designed for players who are already familiar with basic mahjong rules. If you'd like to learn how to play mahjong, please look for our Mahjong for Beginners program.

What you need to know:  This event will be held outside the library. Restrooms will be available. Poor weather could delay or cancel this event. Please bring water and sun protection. For some individuals, this event may be a heightened sensory experience. We invite you to bring along any noise reduction equipment as needed for your comfort and enjoyment. Participants will be able to watch Rainbeaus members do a demonstration dance and then will have the opportunity to learn to dance themselves.
