Join us for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, where the magic of Willy Wonka meets modern culinary science. We’ll watch the The Inventing Room Dessert Shop use cutting-edge ingredients and techniques like liquid nitrogen and compression. Take your tastebuds on a thrilling journey into the future of flavors and prepare to be amazed as sweet, mind-blowing desserts are fashioned right before your eyes. 3-4 pm Sugar Science Demonstration 4-4:30 pm Crafts and Activities What you need to know: This event is designed for kids (ages 5-12) based on the skills we'll be practicing or the tools used. Offering age-appropriate programming allows us to craft memorable and personalized experiences for all our patrons, no matter their age. Food tasting will be involved during this event. Please be aware If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Manage your event registration through "My Events" when signed in to a library account.

Sensory Support Kits are available for in-library use for children experiencing anxiety or feeling overwhelmed in a public space. ¡Plas, plas, plas! Vamos a leer, cantar, hacer rimas y bailar juntos y de esta manera crear las bases para la lectura y el aprendizaje. Para pequeños de 0 a 5 años, aunque también, los niños mayores de esa edad son bienvenidos. Menores de 8 años deben ser acompañados de un adulto. Por favor, inscriba a cada niño y adulto que asista al programa. Se admite su asistencia sin inscripción previa, si el espacio donde se realiza la Hora de Cuentos, lo permite. Kits de apoyo sensorial están disponibles para uso en la biblioteca en caso de que el niño experimente ansiedad o se sienta agobiado en el espacio público.

Outdoor Storytime in Commons Park!

Celebrate summer with a fun storytime outside!  Join us in Commons Park, one block north of Southglenn Library on Commons Avenue, for stories, songs and movement in the sun. No registration required, but blanket, chairs, sunblock and hats are recommended.
