The Mobile Earth and Space Observatory (MESO) is coming to PPLD! MESO is a "science center on wheels" with hands-on educational and research activities focused on earth and space sciences, renewable energy, and scientific instrumentation.Participants will learn about in-depth scientific concepts and how tools are used to collect data. Scientist-educators engage the audience directly with tools such as solar and celestial telescopes, spectroscopy, infrared cameras, augmented-reality sand tables, gravity wells, and more!

Microsoft Word has become the most popular word processing program and is a basic component of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. This class is designed to introduce students to the basics of Microsoft Word. Students will learn how to create and save a document, as well as make basic text adjustments such as font, size, color, and alignment.The class meets weekly for four consecutive weeks, with three sessions that are instructor-led and cover material on the given topic and a fourth session that is conducted as an open lab for students to ask questions, take proctored exams, or get more information.If you already have an email address, please come prepared with your email address and password to log into your email account. If you don't have an email address, we will assist with setting one up for you.

Bring in your new, clean/gently used and unwanted craft materials and exchange them for "tickets" to "purchase/exchange" new-to-you craft supplies! We will also have a fun up-cycling craft going on, so you can take your time and check for new inventory!Please only bring in crafting supplies and not items that are considered trash, in bad condition, or items that can be recycled, including plastic food containers, bedding, or building waste.Click here for a full list of items that can and cannot be donated.
