Have you ever wanted to explore a cave? Now you can do so safely with CaveSim, a cave on wheels! CaveSim has 130 feet of tunnels to explore and a vertical caving tower where you can be lifted up a 12-foot tower. Watch out for stalactites! What you need to know: Must be 5+ to participate in the cave simulator. Limited activities will be available for younger siblings. CaveSim contains rough surfaces and people taking blood thinners should not use CaveSim due to possible scrapes and cuts. CaveSim contains challenging tunnels and tight, dark spaces that young children may find frightening, and adults may find difficult. This event will be held outside the library. Restrooms will be available. Poor weather could delay or cancel this event. Please bring water and sun protection. Wacky Takeover- Part 1 Join us for a special edition of Wacky Wednesday and Teen Takeover combined. Get creative and have fun while making your very own personalized charcuterie board! In this hands-on program, kids and teens will learn how to etch designs using our Glowforge Laser Cutter and paint designs on their boards, turning them into one-of-a-kind works of art. Once your charcuterie board is done, save it and bring it back next week on June 11th for Part 2 of the program: Dessert Boards! This program is geared towards kids and teens ages 8-18. This event is designed for kids (ages 8-18) based on the skills we'll be practicing or the tools used. Offering age-appropriate programming allows us to craft memorable and personalized experiences for all our patrons, no matter their age. This week we will use the personalized cutting boards that we made last week to make dessert boards! Tweens and teens will learn to design a fun and delicious dessert board using fruits, cookies, frosting and more. It will be an array of treats that would be fitting for any summer party. The Division of Motor Vehicle services, DMV2GO, and TAX2GO are visiting Davies Library! DMV2GO services available will include driver licenses, ID cards or permits, renewals, reinstatements and out-of-state transfers. Visitors can also gain access to motor vehicle records and Colorado Roads and Community Safety Act services. TAX2GO services available will include applications for sales tax or wage withholding licenses, assistance with Property Tax, Rent, Heat Credit (PTC) rebate applications, tracking refunds, balances due inquiries and more.
