John Deere has worked with various schools to make a 2-year Ag Tech Program (JDAT) where students graduate with an associate of applied science degree in John Deere Diesel Technology, and have all of their John Deere certifications done. We sponsor a select group of students to attend two of these schools; Southeast Community College and Garden City Community College, and students can pick from our 25 locations to start their careers at. With this program 21st Century Equipment reimburses the entire cost of schooling, this includes their meal plan, tuition, housing, books, and fees; students also are eligible for $9000 in reimbursement to purchase the tools required for school. This reimbursement is done over 4-years post-graduation while the student is employed with us and is added to each biweekly paycheck. Students are considered full-time employees while away at school and are eligible for benefits such as health insurance, and accrue PTO during this time; the summer before college those who complete a successful internship also receive a $2500 bonus. These programs have limited seats available each year, so we encourage students who are interested to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
