The Farmington Artists Circle is proud to host its first Exhibit - Wonderland, at the Farmington Main Library on Monteith Drive from 11/15 - 12/18. A reception with refreshments will be held on Saturday 11/22 from 2:30 - 4:30 in the Community Room. The reception is free and the public is welcome! The Farmington Libraries regularly host art exhibits that are available for public viewing during library hours. However, because the exhibits are displayed in the library program rooms, access may be limited when those spaces are in use. We recommend calling the Libraries at 860-673-6791 to confirm room availability before planning your visit.

Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just love holiday fun, this event is perfect for anyone looking to spark their creativity—and indulge a little. As you design and decorate, enjoy a curated selection of local wines, perfect for sipping while you work. Let the flavors inspire your decorating style—whether it’s elegant, playful, or delightfully wacky! Laughter, teamwork, and holiday spirit are all encouraged, and you might even pick up a few decorating tips along the way. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out with friends, a unique holiday date idea, or just an excuse to eat more candy, this program is a festive way to celebrate the season, connect with others, and leave with a beautiful—and edible—creation. Don’t miss this perfect blend of creativity, competition, and celebration! What to expect:Participants will be divided into teams. Work together to plan your design, build your gingerbread house, and compete for bragging rights in categories like “Most Creative,” “Most Festive,” and “Best Overall.” All Supplies Provided: Gingerbread panels, icing, candies, sprinkles, and any tools you’ll need to craft your masterpiece. Just bring your imagination—and perhaps a competitive edge! Enjoy festive music, seasonal decorations, and the warm spirit of the season while building your edible creations. Sip & Savor: Sample wines from local vineyards. This is a perfect pairing of creativity and indulgence—mix, sip, and decorate responsibly! Important Details:  Requirement: Participants must be 21 or older. Valid ID required for entry. By popular demand, right before the holidays, the Teen Space will host our first ever Trinket Trade!Friends in Grades 7-12 will have the chance to swap small handmade or unique objects (like charms, beads, painted stones, or small crafts) to create connections and share joy!What is a trinket?Anything small you think is neat that you'd want to share with others! Your trinket can be any small object you'd like to trade with friends within these guidelines: -no edible trinkets! No food, no gum, no candy, etc. -can be crafted or handmade-please no glass or easily breakable items -no clothes, please! Don't have trinkets at home? No problem! On 12/15, 12/17, and 12/18, if you visit the Teen Space during after school time, materials will be available to make something! No registration is required.
