Join us in our MakerSpace for STEAM related fun! Get an introduction to our equipment like the 3D printer and Cricut while getting some hands-on experience. Everything from Marble runs and programable robots to 3D pens and clay; we have it all! This week, have fun not only decorating your clock, but putting it together too! You will be adding the clock mechanism, hands, screws and all; building the whole thing from scratch and walking away with a working clock that looks like a donut.

Curious about Botany the board game? Interested in learning how to play but don't want to spend hours on YouTube? Need a refresher or shaky with the rules? Come to our Learn to Play Botany! At the end of the program, you'll get a chance to win a free copy! Botany Description from the Publisher: Take on the role of a plant hunter in the Victorian Era as they travel the world in search of fame, fortune, and the coveted Queenâs Prize in Botany. Each turn, players will move around the board to the locations designated on the Specimen cards in their hand. While they travel the globe, each player will need to manage their expedition funds, overcome events, and acquire items, crew, and pets to help them along their journey. Each time players return to their estate, they will add their live and pressed specimens to their garden and build garden features such as orangeries and conservatories. The player with the most points at the end of the game earns the Queenâs Prize in Botany and is the winner.Registration Required! Open to those 12 and up!

Come and celebrate the beginning of our summer reading program by connecting with other families and learning about what the Farmington Libraries have to offer. Then enjoy some summer-themed crafts and sensory play activities. Every individual who registers for summer reading at this event will receive a sweet treat!

Adventure Awaits at The Farmington Libraries Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM!Bring your dinner, a blanket, and/or some lawn chairs, and join us outside while DJ Red Supreme spins music and leads dances. Didn't pack a picnic dinner? No problem! Paki Taco and Craftbird food trucks will be selling food on site.We will have a special visit from Dillon, the furry green mascot for soccer team the Hartford Athletic.There will also be lawn games and tables with activities for all ages!  No registration is required.  In the event of inclement weather, the party will be moved indoors.  See you there!
