About UsGeorgetown Village Restoration, Inc. was founded in 1999 to assist in the restoration and revitalization of the village of Georgetown, Connecticut. Georgetown has been in existence since the early 1800’s and grew up along with the Gilbert & Bennett Wire Mill. Because it is comprised of sections of four towns, is divided by the Norwalk River and is trisected by two state highways, the village has had difficulty working as a contiguous whole. Through public education, close cooperation with other Georgetown organizations and the towns which comprise it, we are trying to implement the restoration of “our village.” For more information, go to: http://www.georgetownct.org/index.html
