The Light Source Center offers group meditations open to anyone who wants to participate. These meditations are powerful opportunities to experience wonderful energy and connect to others. At the Light Source Center each meditation is followed by an opportunity to share your experience. Sharing not only helps ground the experience but in listening to others we open up even more avenues for growth and learning. These group meditations are not a substitute for meditation classes at the LSC, but they can be places of growth. These meditations are open to both students and non-students. No experience meditating is necessary.

You are invited to enjoy our carillon bells from the “front row” seats! Featuring bell ringers from across Connecticut on July 10, 17, 24, and 31, from 5:30-6:30 pm. Free and open to the public. The recitalists are: July 10 – Eve Schmitt July 17 – Margaret Angelini July 24 – Kristin Vece July 31 – Andrea McCrady Please bring your family, your own chairs or blanket, and your own refreshments to the lawn of the church in West Hartford Center. Free parking is available in the church parking lot which is accessible from Farmington Ave.  WEATHER POLICY Concerts take place rain or shine. The sanctuary will be open for dry listening if raining. In the case of severe weather the concert will have to be cancelled. Updates after 2:00 p.m. on date of concert on our Facebook page.

The Sun Is Shining concerts have become popular August tradition. Tuesdays 5:30-7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. The groups playing will be: August 5 – Brown Paper Sax August 12 – The Jeffrey John Band August 19 – Rock Voices August 26 – Still Kickin’ with the Big City Horns. Performances are on Tuesdays unless otherwise noted. Come to West Hartford Center, and join us on the First Church front lawn, right on the edge of Blue Back Square! Make yourself comfortable with your own chairs and blankets on the labyrinth, and/or have a seat on the wall surrounding the church front lawn.   In the case of rain concerts will be cancelled or postponed and information posted on website after 2 p.m. on day of event.
